About Us

Thank you for choosing The Bored Game, and back to basics play for your children!

We are two mothers from San Francisco and Mill Valley with five children between us. Over the years we’ve heard our share of “I’m bored” exclamations.

When our children were young, they cured this malaise by writing different activity choices onto little pieces of paper and then placing the bits of paper into a bowl. They would draw from the bowl and go on to play whichever activity was chosen. One day, the oldest of the crew, took it a step further and came out of her room with “The Bored Game”…a big shoe box she had decorated, inside of which was a homemade spinner full of activity choices.

We decided to take it to the next level and share it with bored children everywhere!
